Founded in 2022 by interior designer Jane Smith, Studio 3b® Curtains has come a long way from its beginnings in a small studio apartment. Jane started the company after struggling to find quality window treatments that didn’t cost a fortune. She knew there were other savvy shoppers out there who wanted to decorate on a budget and decided to launch her own brand.
Our Story
After graduating from design school, Jane rented a tiny studio apartment that got tons of natural sunlight. But all that sunlight also meant her space needed serious window coverage for privacy. She headed to the home goods stores and was dismayed by the selection of cheap, flimsy curtains or expensive, luxury drapes. There had to be something in between!
So Jane got to work hand-making her own curtains using high-quality textiles and components. They turned out beautifully and cost a fraction of what she would have paid. Friends and family who saw them were impressed and wanted Jane to make window treatments for them too.
That’s when the lightbulb went off – Jane realized there was an untapped market for stylish yet affordable curtains and other window decor. She rented a small retail space and opened the first Studio 3b® Curtains store.
Word of mouth spread fast about the cute curtains and helpful service. Jane brought on seamstresses to keep up with demand. She expanded the product offerings to include drapes, roman shades, roller shades, panel tracks, and more.
Over the years the company steadily grew, both online and with retail showrooms. But we’ve stayed true to Jane’s original vision – provide customers with an enjoyable shopping experience and beautiful, budget-friendly window decor options.

- Rod pocket – Casual and affordable curtains that slide onto a curtain rod. Offered in tiered, back tab, ruffled, embroidered, and shirred styles.
- Pinch pleat – Tailored pleats that stack neatly when opened and closed. Available as single pleat, French pleat, or inverted pleat.
- Tab top – Button or loop tabs connect to drapery hooks on a rod for a clean, contemporary look.
